President & CEO

Darcy founded Momentum in 2012 when he identified a need to have a client centered drilling fluids company. Darcy wanted to create a service company that would always remain committed to strong service values and continual improvement for O&G Operators. Today Darcy remains committed to these values and has continued to evolve what service means and how technically detailed a company can be.

Darcy began his O&G career in 1994 with Reef Mud in Canada. Darcy started out entry-level as a warehouse man. At Reef Mud Darcy did everything from sweep floors, loaded/unload trucks, deliver product, mix OBM to rigging up and running wet bulk barite systems as the manager of a satellite warehouse.

In 2000, Darcy joined Baroid/Halliburton where he first attended Drilling Fluids Schoo where he grew to be a bulk system specialist and drilling fluids engineer. In 2002, Darcy was moved into a technical sales role in Calgary. In 2005, Darcy transferred to Denver, Colorado as a product line champion and lead sales role.

In 2006, Darcy began a start up company (Alltera Drilling Fluids) for a Canadian entity (Alliance Drilling Fluids). Darcy built a successful drilling fluids and solids control business in the US Rocky Mountain region. Through mergers and acquisitions this company became Marquis Alliance and then later Secure Energy Services in 2011.

Operations Manager

Matt started in the O&G industry in 2004 in Pinedale, WY working for as a mud plant operator. Within a year he was hired on a mud engineer for B&S Drilling Fluids. He worked for B&S Drilling fluids until 2008, then joined SD Smith Consultants where he traveled the country working for different mud companies and operators. Matt went to work in for Momentum in 2013 to kick off Momentum's first Permian assignment. Matt was promoted to Field supervisor in 2015, and then to Lead Technical Coordinator in 2018. Through many years of dedication and hard work in 2023 Matt was promoted to Operations Manager.

Sales & Marketing

John joined the Momentum Team in 2021 to lead the sales efforts in Texas. John has over 15 years of experience on the drilling side, focusing on several basins in Texas.

Finance Director

Danielle joined the Momentum team in 2013. Danielle has over 10 years in the oil & gas industry on the accounting side. Danielle has been a vital team member for years.
